so i have put this off for the past week as i was ill last weekend and i just couldn't decide what shows should be in the top ten as there are so many great ones a lot of good ones too and some bad ones that are just funny to as the UK loves sitcoms so do i but the big problem is there is only about 6-8 episodes per series which can be a pain in the bum at times and even some of the good ones don't come back on the telly when you thought it was fantastic but i have finally decided which ten will in here and i am counting how much it makes me laugh how and how much i watch it and would i ever watch it again.
so to start off its number ten.
to me this show was amazing as it started in 1990 and lasted until 2000 which is great as it just kept getting funnier each episode the man who plays victor (Richard Wilson) was born in the little city of greenock which is just next to a town i have lived in where i lived for about 7 years.
now onto number nine.
this show is just so funny especially the red nose day ones i did recently buy it and watched it all straight away it made me laugh so much if you haven't seen it its about a vicar called geraldine who was the first lady vicar in dibley (a fictional small village in oxfordshire) the concept of this how was that 2 years before the first episode aired the church of england let women be able to be ordained and the show creator had the idea of this from a real vicar who was one of the first female vicars this show started in 1994 and also lasted until 2000 but the only problem was it only had 3 series which it spanned over this 6 years so we only seen a few episodes each year the show still is in our hearts as it still shows up every few years for the red nose day and sometimes a Christmas Special or two so technically it hasn't ever been cancelled or ended.
now to our number eight
this show may have only had 2 series and 12 episodes but almost everyone in the UK has watched it at some point in there life it started in 1975 till 1979 this show i think helped john cleese (who played basil fawlty in the show) career as the first monty python movie came out that same year and his previous show monty python's flying circus ended the year before and i know he had done a lot of things before this came on air but to me i think it helped him boost his career and help him go to hollywood and be amazing anyway back to the show it is based in a hotel owned by basil and his wife sylvia with manuel the waiter who is always confused by the english language as he is from barcelona and polly who is the ever so helpful waitress who can handle basils way of work as he is the most rude most annoying self centered irritating man alive who is always rude to guests and doesn't really care about them.
now number seven
this series started in 1992 it so far has had 5 series and 39 episodes over its 3 runs of the show most recently had a special episode for the london olympics this episode was the last part in 3 part specials (excluding the red nose day episode) this show was about two high powered woman who work in the fashion industry and just like to party and be drunk basicly they had a daughter who wanted nothing to do with them becuse the way they where to me this show pushed a lot of boundaries especially at the start as it's main characters were rumoured to be gay i don't know if its true or isn't true.
number six on the list is
the royal family
this tv show is one of the UKs top ten most watched family special at christmas with 9.90 million people watching the most recent one in 2012 one of this show's main will show up later on our list anyway it shows the life of a regular lower/middle class family in england well what i presume it is like when it started which was 1998 and the show never really changed much over the years.

so we are on to the top five now.
now we are onto number five
Father Ted
well i think this show was amazing its about three priests and a housekeeper who always serves tea and if you haven't seen it you need to go on go on go on go on go on (that is her catchphrase) who live in a parish on the fictional Craggy Island located off the west coast of Ireland with very few people living there but it is still so funny mrs doyles catchphrase (go on go on) is the most funniest thing ever as when i was in ireland a lovely lady really did speak like that and she wouldn't back down i really can't say much about it unless you have seen it as it only ran for three series so anything i say will give something away.
so number four would have to be.

The IT Crowd
number three is
The it crowd started in 2006 and it is set in the offices of Reynholm Industries a fictional British corporation in central London It focuses on the ups and downs of three IT support team located in an untidy basement what's funny is we don't know what the company does all that we know is that the company bought and sold ITV Douglas Reynholm claims his father Denholm Reynholm described the IT department as being run by a dynamic go-getter (jen) a genius (moss) and a man from Ireland (roy).
number three is
miranda is a new sitcom which started in 2009 it was a kind of spin off of miranda hart's joke shop a radio show that aired on bbc radio 2.they did keep the same sort of idea she owns a joke shop in the tv show she also has a business manager who was also in the radio show so now to talk about it if you haven't seen this show it is like an old fashioned show with miranda talking down the camera lense being stupid and clumsy and such a laugh as its kind of slap stick to she does such funny things she was in love with the next door bartender who she is in and out of relationship with (which i hate) but this show is a must see for all the family.
now our number two is
this show is so funny it will make you pee yourself laughing it is just that funny and i know its not based in th UK but it is filmed her and we like it that much we had to make it our number two this show used to be a stage show now its an international success there tour will be going to australia so if you live there i would recommend you go see it the show has that much success it is being reimagined for the US and australia to and a few other countries and it will be having its own movie and a cartoon and last thing the shows creator has said that it will be doing a game show it is that much of a success 15 million people watched the most recent series and i mean 15 million per episode you can catch it one tv land in the USA and the seven network in australia so if you haven't seen or heard of it you really should have and thats why i will not be saying anything about it.
it was very hard to pick and i know i have missed alot out that i like and love but this one show was the first one that came to mind and i really like it and somehow i have forgot one show i did want in my list it was my family i loved that show and can't believe it got canceled but that isn't our number one.
so our number one is and has to be.
this show has all diffrent theams in it they had all difrent speacials our the run of its 9series and 80 episodes it has had such a high success for BB3 and as a treat i have a video for you it is from the live show and i will leave it at that as i think this video will show why its our number 1
ao i hope you enjoyed this list and if you didn't even laugh at the video shame on you its so funny.
